I lost my username and password so I haven't been blogging much or looking at others blogs. I need to start a new year. It is a good thing I have daughters with good memories. Thanks Amy for connecting me back to this site. Well another year and hopefully a better year than last. 2009 was the worst. At the beginning of the year I could feel it coming and then it started ...first with the unexpected death of my cousin Tim Holst. Starting the year out with a funeral does not leave much hope for the rest of the year. We did make the most of it...the funeral was in Florida and we had a wonderful cousin's reunion. The highlight was singing together at the church funeral service. I must admit that all my cousins inherited wonderful voices from the Lindbloom side of the family.

The summer brought one disappointment after another....I was so looking forward to a Bear Lake golf weekend with my cousins...foiled by my getting the Swine Flu, kidney stones and an abnormal heart rhythm that sent me to the ER. The next vacation was a family trip to Disneyland...it at least was fun to be with several of my grandson's who had never been to see Mickey Mouse before - that was magical ....we played very hard in the heat!

The hardest thing of the year came when after going to see a neurologist for a routine check up I thought because of random changes in how I felt, she diagnosed me with Multiple Sclerosis. I didn't want to believe her...it just seemed too radical for such small symptoms. A friend of mine who I worked with was able to get me an appointment that week with another neurologist who specializes in MS....unfortunately he concurred with the diagnosis. He was so nice about it though, I almost didn't mind being told that I had MS. In fact it isn't that bad because of the mildness of my symptoms. The down side was enduring the treatment which consists of taking a medicine every day by subcutaneous injection. Ooooow! Thanksgiving and Christmas came with such speed that I never did get caught up....I still haven't sent out Christmas cards. So Merry Christmas everyone!
