Vacation time has come early this year, like Easter. Last week I joined a small caravan made up of my husband, and my son and his family and traveled to Kidder, Missouri and surrounding ares like Kansas City, Independence, Liberty, Far West, Adam -ondi -Ahman, Nauvoo and Winter Quarters in Omaha. Everytime I go I have a hard time leaving and feel like I could move there permenantly. Maybe it is because of the small town feeling that reminds me of my roots or perhaps the pull of the faithful people of the restoration but probably because my daughter, Barbara , her husband Randy and my grandson Rayden are there. I just don't get to see them enough.
We had a wonderful time. I got a lot of game playing time in with my grandsons Jackson, Zachery and Preston as we drove 17 hours to get there and 17 hours back. The boys were great travelers.
Next vacation will be in two weeks. Barbara is graduating from Liberty University in Virginia. We will fly into Washington DC and drive to the middle of Virginia then back to DC and see the sights. We want to see Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach and any place else we can see in the week we are there. Barbara being 8 months pregnant is brave to attempt such a trip. I am googling all the hospitals close to our itinerary just in case of trouble. It should be interesting.
